Dear Friend of Mary Theotokos Retreat Center,
We wanted to take the time to thank you for your prayers and support of the Mary Theotokos Center this year. It’s only because of all the prayers we were able to continue our mission and be open for the many retreats we have had.
As you know, it is with great sadness that we lost a very instrumental and generous benefactor this year. Bishop Basil Losten was a great and holy man, who was close friends with our founder, Fr. Steve. Since losing Fr. Steve in 2011, Bishop Basil has guided us spiritually and raised money to help sustain the
Center.
Mary Theotokos Center depends on the generosity of donors to stay open. We have worked very hard over the last 4 years and have successfully increased retreats and people coming to the center. As is our tradition and mission, we only suggest a nightly donation for our retreatants, and never turn anyone
away. This income only covers a portion of our annual operating expenses, however, and we rely on monthly donations.
This year, our End of the Year Campaign is dedicated in Memory of Bishop Basil Losten and all his support and generosity. Would you please consider donating? With your generous help, Mary Theotokos Center will be able to continue to operate in the coming year. There will be a special Mass in January offered for all our donors.
